Beamline details:
Please be aware of some specific measures to be taken before submitting the proposal:
Notes:
  1. IR microscope: In case of questions please contact: Dr. Philippe Lerch (philippe.lerch@psi.ch)
  2. FEMTO: Proposals involving the FEMTO slicing facility or the laser system for time-resolved measurements in the picosecond regime have to be discussed prior to submission with the group leader Dr. Gerhard Ingold (gerhard.ingold@psi.ch)  or Dr. Steven Johnson (steve.johnson@psi.ch). Without discussing the feasibility of the experiment prior to proposal submission the proposal may not be considered. In order to have enough time to discuss the proposal please submit it not later than one week before the deadline.
  3. XIL II is especially dedicated to commercial users (1st priority) and for in-house research performed at the LMN (2nd priority). Academic users should contact Ekinci Yasin to discuss the availability of the beamline.
  4. For the proposal evaluation by the Proposal Review Committee, DUO Experimental Reports on previous experiments represent a very important input, and a missing experimental report may seriously affect the chances of acceptance. Proposers are asked to supply a separate experimental report for each experiment performed. Note that now also a co-proposer can input an experimental report.
  5. The SLS is part of the EU I3 initiative and we will be able to provide travel and accommodation support. Proposers interested in this support are asked to mark the corresponding box in the proposal. For further details please click here.
