Data acquisition and controls

Control of the beamline optics is performed using the same EPICS software as is used to control the SLS machine. Individual "widget-windows" are available for the operation of each stepping motor and pneumatic actuator; strip charts and scan programs are available for visualising temperatures, encoder positions and signal levels. Specific applications exist for standard user functions, such as changing the photon energy, and focussing requirements.

LEEM2000 This software controls all functions of the microscope. It is used for initial sample/image alignment.

Image Pro The ImagePro panel contains all software for image acquisition using the PEEM including all macros.
