Detectors

The mar225 mosaic CCD detector has 3072 x 3072 pixels and an active area of 225 mm x 225 mm. Its outstanding Point-Spread-Function and the larger area provide improved data quality and order resolving power. It is is installed on the µ-diffractometer.

At the high-resolution diffractometer, a counting pixel detector, PILATUS 6M, is installed. This noise-free counting device combines extraordinary spatial resolution with full frame read-out times of 5 ms. These features make it an ideal detector for PX and enable novel data acquisition modes such as continuos data acquisition and fine-phi-slicing.
